NCRC enthusiastically welcomes families to be engaged in their child's preschool experience - in the classroom, through the Parents Association, the Board of Trustees, Development and community-building activities. Ours is an extended family, welcoming grandparents, alumni, and friends to participate in the life of the school. In sharing our diverse traditions, backgrounds, ideas and talents, every family member can find opportunities to be involved at NCRC.
Classroom teachers identify ways for family members to become involved in the classroom. Parents and grandparents are welcome to help with projects, read, or just visit and enjoy themselves. Elementary age alumni love to return to read or play a musical instrument. Older alumni sometimes choose an NCRC internship for their high school project. From time to time family members are invited to join special class activities, such as an art exhibit or Thanksgiving feast. Room parent volunteers work with teachers to help plan special class activities such as field trips and Auction projects. Family volunteers assist with community outreach activities.
